
UK weather maps show snow hitting England and Wales later this month as a number of counties are covered in white. The maps show snow arriving on December 19, with a small area of Devon the first place to see the wintry downpour.
Later that same day, parts of Cornwall, including Ilfracombe, were covered in white. Somerset, the south of Wales, Northern Wales near Anglesey, and Lancashire are also forecast to have snow.
The following day, December 20, maps show snow falling over Oxford and Luton as North Wales is also hit.
WXCHARTS' maps predict that temperatures will rest between 2C and 4C with lows of 0C in the east and south east of England.
The Met Office's forecast for December 13 - December 22 predicts rain, which will become heavy and accompanied by strong winds.
The agency adds: "Whilst it will often be mild, later in the period there may be a slight downward trend in temperature, especially across northern parts of the UK where there may also be a slightly higher chance of some wintry hazards at times."
As for December 23 - January 6, more rain is in order, as well as some hill snow in the north.
Strong winds in coastal areas will be followed by "drier, more settled spells are possible, but how long these last is very uncertain.
"Temperatures will likely be close to average or slightly above overall."
