Meghan Markle has been criticised by a royal commentator for a "vile" move during her visit to Australia with Prince Harry. The non-working royals embarked on a "faux" tour Down Under this month, and one of the locations they visited was The Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne to highlight the plight and care of terminally ill children.
Airing her thoughts on the visit on TalkTV, royal watcher Kinsey Schofield told presenter Kevin O'Sullivan that something didn't sit well with her in terms of timings during the visit. Meghan recently joined the AI-powered fashion discovery platform OneOff as both an investor and a featured participant, meaning her "exclusive edits" in fashion are available for fans to buy. The Sussexes later travelled to Sydney, where they met survivors from the Bondi Beach terror attack.
Ms Schofield shared her view on the timing of Meghan's involvement in the app and her high-profile visit in front of the cameras. She said: "Meghan clutched the hands of the Bondi Beach victims, and within minutes, those outfits were available on this app. She's using these victims and ill children to sell her clothing for a commission.
"I look at that, and I think that Queen Elizabeth is doing a cartwheel in her tomb. There's no way in hell she would've approved of something like that; she would've been disgusted by it."
Kevin described the couple's tour as "weird", claiming it began with "faux visits" to women's refugee centres and children's hospitals.
